Cairo International Arts District (CIAD)

Art D’Égypte will occupy up to 12 spaces in downtown Cairo, creating the grand artistic concept “Cairo’s International Arts District”, a city-wide art exhibition. The spaces in the city center host individual and collective exhibitions of contemporary art, as well as independent projects.

Spaces in the city center; understand Kodak Passage, Cinema Radio, Factory, 6 stores, Access the art space, and 36 Shop on Abdel Khalek Tharwat Street. The spaces include a range of paintings, photographs, sculptures, installations, video art, new media arts (holograms) and sounds. The CIAD will also host a series of public lectures, workshops and conferences targeting artists and art lovers. These will be hosted by renowned artists and scholars in the art field at Rawabet Space.

The event will run alongside the latest Egyptian Art Exhibition on the Pyramids of Giza, “Forever is Now,” which is the first of its kind in the 4,500-year history of the Pyramids, the oldest of the seven. wonders of the ancient world. This will be the fourth edition of Art D’Egypt and will be held under the auspices of the Ministry of Antiquities and Tourism, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the patronage of UNESCO. For this project, Art D’Égypte is also partnering with the Embassy of the United States, the Embassy of Spain, the Embassy of Switzerland, the Italian Cultural Institute and many others.

CIAD will include a wide range of well-established artists from around the world, including artists from Egypt, America, Belgium, Brazil, British, Dutch, French, German, Greek, Italian, Saudi, Spanish, Sudanese and Swiss. The exhibition would also include upcoming local Egyptian artists (September 15 – October 27).
