Bridge Modelling, Loading and Load Optimisation Training (½ Day)

Software: SuperSTRESS SURF, H-LOAD, AutoLoader and Wood-Armer

Who will benefit?

Bridge engineers who are already users of the SuperSTRESS software or who have attended the 1 day Modelling and Analysis Training and would like to increase their knowledge to include the bridge modules.  The training will give a complete overview of all the features and options available to the bridge engineer allowing them to free up more time by increasing their skill and efficiency in using the software.

What the course covers:

• Modelling techniques – quick and easy setup of bridge decks in 2D and 3D
• Use and control of tables for input of H-LOAD data
• Copy and paste and paste special – for quick input of repetitive data
• Re-ordering and removing gaps - for more efficient calculation and ease of use
• H-LOAD generation and generation parameters
• Influence surface definition and generation for different structure types
• AutoLoader generation and generation parameters
• Using Wood Armer to generate slab moments per meter strip
• Common mistakes and problems to avoid
• Technical support – options and availability for quickest response times
• Other modules available and future development plans

Training will be partly lecture format with worked examples (your own if you pass them to us in advance), training notes and hands-on usage to promote confidence in using the software.
