Software: SuperSTRESS
Who will benefit?
Bridge and structural
engineers, either new users or users familiar with SuperSTRESS wanting
to improve their techniques to speed up model generation and reporting.
The training will give a complete overview of all the features and
options available to the engineer allowing them to free up more
time by increasing their skill and efficiency in using the software.
What the course covers:
- Modelling techniques - quick and easy setup
- Material and sections - input and selection
- Default libraries - creation and storage
- Use and control of tabular input - sorting, filtering etc
- Copy and paste and paste special - within tables for simple
addition of repetitive data
- Use configuration of graphical display - properties
- Re-ordering and removing gaps - for more efficient calculation
and ease of use
- Graphical manipulation of the model - mirror, translate, copy
etc
- Use and control of structure sets
- Use and control of loadcase sets
- Creating and modifying load areas and area loading
- Analysis options - non-linear functions (support limits, member
limits, large displacement analysis)
- Configurable options - graphics options, units, formats, colours,
fonts etc
- Reporting techniques
- Common mistakes and problems to avoid
- Technical support - options and availability for quickest response
times
- Other modules available and future development plans
Training will be partly
lecture format with worked examples (your own if you pass them to
us in advance), training notes and hands-on usage to promote confidence
in using the software.
If
you feel you have the basic knowledge then why not sign up for a
half day Top-up training.
Top-up Modelling and Analysis Training
(½ Day)
Who will benefit?
Current users of the SuperSTRESS software
wanting to improve their modelling and techniques and gain a more
efficient usage of the software. More detailed examples will be
covered exploring further areas of the software and new modules.
