The eighth
tip in the SuperSTRESS
usage tip series covers the techniques for selecting members and
joints. It is possible to select any type of orientation of
members or joints in one simple operation, changing the viewing
angle can also increase the speed and accuracy of selection.
View Demonstration
There are three main types
of selection;
- Single clicking on any member or joint
- Use of a right hand window (solid) to select items that are completely within that window

- Use of a left hand window (dashed) to select items that are completely within or crossing the window

You can also use the
Selection toolbar to speed up selection, these options are also
available from the Edit>>Select menu.
