FAQ : Usage - Wood-Armer

Q

 How do I run Wood-Armer?

A

Wood-Armer is available from the Explorer view or the Tools menu.  The Wood-Armer calculation is done automatically when you have entered all of the relavent information, the results table is the "Wood-Armer Moments" table.

Q

I keep getting "There is an error in the geometry..." when I come out of the Calculation Set dialog box, what is wrong?

A

There are a number of posible reasons for this, please see the help topic "Wood-Armer calcution set" or send the job by email to our support department (see contact us).

Q

Can I use Wood-Armer on a Space Frame job?

A

Yes, however you need to make sure you save the members you wish to run the Wood-Armer calculation for (must be in the same XY plane) as a "Structure Set" and then choose this structure set in the Calcution Set dialog box in Wood-Armer.  See SuperSTRESS User Tip 5 or SuperSTRESS Getting Started 1 screen video.
