FEM-Design
 - Changing the way you think about concrete design

 

 

Integer recently exhibited and demonstrated at two events held by The Concrete Centre, focused on Finite Element Packages for Concrete Flat Slab Design.  The events were held to demonstrate how successfully modelled concrete structures can be created using the latest analysis and design packages and provide guidance on best practice methods.

Held in Manchester and London, the events allowed users to see Integer's FEM-Design software in action against others as timed demonstrations showing how quickly and easily the software could be used to analyse, design and reinforce the given scenario. 

Integer was pleased to see that FEM-Design remains the only software to be able to calculate an essential non-linear cracked section analysis for accurate deflection and crack results.  Also we were the only company able to provide a complete analysis and design, and apply a reinforcement layout in the allotted time slot.

Integer's Support Manager, Kevin Fox, was on hand to provide guidance on model generation and mesh problems and was pleased to see so many FEM-Design users at the event to further their FE knowledge.  "Its great to see that we are providing the cutting edge software that people want and helping them to better understand the principles behind the software."

The FEM-Design Plate model that was demonstrated at the event has the ability to provide powerful cracked section analysis calculations and again outshone its competitors. It's this function says Kevin that keeps FEM-Design ahead of the competition.

A useful document, compiled by The Concrete Centre ( click here for details of how to purchase), was given to all the attendees at the event.  The document notes the following recommended FE software features and Integer is pleased to see that FEM-Design ticks all the boxes!
