Customer Quotes

"SuperSTRESS was a valuable tool and used in the early design stage even before the contract was won...We found that we could use it easily for altering the geometry of the structure without having to constantly re-enter data."

H-Load

Highway Load Positioning and Distribution / Bridge Analysis

H-LOAD is used for the manual positioning of a variety of area, line and point loads. These are then distributed to statically equivalent loads to your underlying 2D or 3D structure for further analysis, combination or enveloping in SuperSTRESS. H-LOAD will significantly reduce the time it takes to complete any road or rail bridge analysis whether used as part of the bridge design process to BD37/01 or part of the bridge assessment process to BD21/01.

Loads can be any combination of pre-defined HA and HB types; these can be grouped or applied singularly with other user defined loading and then applied to multiple curved / straight / tapering lanes.

H-Load : Highway Load Positioning and Distribution / Bridge AnalysisH-LOAD is widely used in bridge design offices for new structures and checking existing bridge capacity, from major motorway works to footbridges. H-LOAD is accessed directly within the user friendly SuperSUITE environment.

H-LOAD may be complemented with the addition of other modules in the SuperLOAD package. For example the AutoLoader module which will automatically calculate the positioning of the highway loads to give the worst effect at a user defined location.

Also, any results used for reinforced concrete slab design can then be passed to the Wood-Armer module to calculate the reinforcement design moments for both top and bottom steel in the primary directions.

H-Load : Highway Load Positioning and Distribution / Bridge AnalysisH-LOAD key features:
  • Variable lane geometry with lanes comprising any number of straight or curved segments, each of which may be uniform or tapering width.
  • HA and HB loadings.
  • Point, patch, line, axle and KEL loadings.
  • User definable load groups and automatic generation of load trains.
  • Warnings for loads off the lane, the deck or the structure.
  • Completely controllable load distribution to selected members in 3D as well as 2D structures.
  • Fast automatic generation of SuperSTRESS loadcases.

H-LOAD is developed under our TickIT approved Quality Management System, which ensures will documented, well structured and reliable software.

We are committed to continual improvement and providing the best support service to our clients.
