FAQ's - Usage - Wood Armer

Wood Armer Usage FAQs

1. How do I run Wood-Armer?
2. I keep getting "There is an error in the geometry..." when I come out of the Calculation Set dialog box, what is wrong?
3. Can I use Wood-Armer on a Space Frame job?

1. How do I run Wood-Armer?
Wood-Armer is available from the Explorer view or the Tools menu.  The Wood-Armer calculation is done automatically when you have entered all of the relevant information, the results table is the "Wood-Armer Moments" table.

2. I keep getting "There is an error in the geometry..." when I come out of the Calculation Set dialog box, what is wrong?
There are a number of possible reasons for this, please see the help topic "Wood-Armer calculation set" or send the job by email to our support department.

3. Can I use Wood-Armer on a Space Frame job?
Yes, however you need to make sure you save the members you wish to run the Wood-Armer calculation for (must be in the same XY plane) as a "Structure Set" and then choose this structure set in the Calculation Set dialog box in Wood-Armer. See SuperSTRESS Getting Started 1 screen video.
