Area
loading enhancement – FREE for maintained clients!
This
powerful new function facilitates
the addition of both snow loading and wind loading
in addition to any other area loading that you may wish to add.
Automated panel
generation:
The
load areas are generated automatically by selecting which
members bound your loaded area.
As with all SuperSTRESS
functions this can be achieved by either selecting graphically
or by entering the member numbers in the table.
There is no limit on the number of
members that can be used or the angle that they are inclined
at, thus enabling complex floor or wall loading areas to be
created. |

Configurable
span direction:
The span direction of
your load area (a group of panels) is vital for accurate load distribution.
It is simple to define both a multi-way
and single way spanning load areas; each single way spanning load
area can have the direction specified on a load area by load area
basis.
User defined
load action direction:
Your
load areas are then selected for loading in your basic loadcase
entries; from here you can create a variety of load combinations
without having to define new load areas for each.
The dispersion axis,
action and intensity of your load is configurable so that
you can simply define loading in all types of directions,
enabling the modelling of wind and snow loading as well as
your more standard area loading for floors, roofs etc of any
structure. |

No complicated
manual distribution...
Once your area loading is defined
the distributed intensities are calculated in real time using
the tried and tested H-LOAD distribution
method so you can immediately visualise the loading applied
to your structure.
As always, the graphical
properties can be configured so that you can select which
loading aspects you wish to view, multiple views can also
be created and added to reports so that your loading can be
presented in a report. If you wish you can also view the distributed
loads in the table.
We believe that this is the best implementation
of area loading available in the market; it manages to combine
the user friendliness and easy to learn SuperSTRESS environment
with the powerful distribution to satisfy the requirements
of today's engineer. |
